ADA Coordinator Requirement

United States Attorney’s Office Reminds State and Local Government Agencies to Designate an Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator.

The Dear Colleagues Letter announces that on March 15 at 2 pm, the U.S. Attorney’s Office will be holding a virtual meeting for ADA Coordinators to provide information on the steps that state and local governmental entities can take to comply with the ADA and provide an opportunity for questions.

Web Accessibility Guidelines

The Department of Justice published guidance on web accessibility and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). It explains how state and local governments (entities covered by ADA Title II) and businesses open to the public (entities covered by ADA Title III) can make sure their websites are accessible to people with disabilities as required by the ADA.
