daptive Adventures will be offering a 3 day cycling program throu
gh the NMVAHCS to provide Veterans with another opportunity to learn about
adaptive cycling road and off road. This is a 3 day workshop to introduc
e adaptive cycling to Veterans with disabilities. The goal of this works
hop series is to allow participants to participate in cycling independentl
y. Therefore\; content will include introduction to riding basics\, cycle
maintenance\, nutrition and fitness combined with local rides both on the
VA campus and in the community on surrounding bike paths. There is no cost
for you to participate\, but you must pre-register. We ask that you plan
to attend all days. Each session is approximately 4 hou
rs in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon. There is a limited number
of spaces available\, on a first come first serve bases.

The VA Recreation Program (Bldg. 2) in conjunction with Project Healing Waters is offering veteran’s the opportun ity to learn to tie flies and general fishing. In spring we will start tea ching casting skills and start fishing opportunities. All equipment provid ed for veterans who do not have the equipment.
